How walk-ins work
Walk-ins are best for small-to-medium designs and classic flash that don’t need a long custom design process. Larger or highly detailed work — big portraits, sleeves, involved cover-ups — is usually better as a booked appointment so your artist can prepare a custom design. Not sure? - Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. You must be 18+ to get tattooed in Texas — no exceptions.
- Come with a clear idea (and reference images if you have them).
- Availability is first-come, first-served and depends on which artists are in — calling ahead saves you a trip.
- Consultations are always free, even if you book for another day.

Walk-in pricing
Starting rates run $120–$250/hour depending on the artist, with half- and full-day rates for bigger work. And every Wednesday is Widdle Wednesday — 20% off tattoos up to $500 total. Full details in our Austin tattoo pricing guide.
