Tucked in the heart of East Austin you will find For the People Tattoo Studio, founded in 2022 and operated by Nathan “Stax” with over 10 years in the industry.

Our team here focuses on service and quality, with the principle that good artwork should be available and affordable to everyone. We cater to every style of design, with custom compositions made in house by our team of artists.

With all of us being born and raised in Austin, the culture of authentic Austin can be felt in this gem of a studio. We Keep it Weird, breaking industry standards by providing the most professional service and a welcoming experience to each and every person.

From Idea to Ink

Reach Out
Drop us a message with your idea, placement, and size. Include reference images if you have them.

Consultation
We'll talk through your vision, discuss style and placement, and nail down the details.

Design
Your artist creates a custom piece. You'll see the design before your session — revisions until it's right.

Session
Sit back in our private studio while your piece comes to life. Highest standards of sterility and care.

Aftercare

Protect Your Ink

Your tattoo will heal over the course of 2–3 weeks. During that time, the only two things you should use on it are a scent-free antibacterial soap and a healing ointment such as Aquaphor or A&D ointment. Avoid petroleum or Vaseline — those can fade ink.

First 24–48 Hours
  • Leave Saniderm/second skin wrap on for 24–48 hours
  • After removing, lather with scent-free antibacterial soap and rinse
  • Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or A&D ointment as needed throughout the day
  • Clean with soap between ointment applications when possible
  • Avoid petroleum jelly or Vaseline — these can fade your ink
Weeks 1–3
  • Continue washing and applying ointment 2–3 times daily
  • Do NOT pick, scratch, or peel flaking skin
  • Do NOT swim for at least 4 weeks — chlorine strips ink, natural water causes infection
  • Avoid direct sunlight on the tattoo for 1–2 weeks
Long Term
  • Use sunscreen or SPF moisturizer after the 3-week healing period to prevent fading
  • Keep skin moisturized
  • Touch-ups available if needed
  • Contact us with any healing concerns

20% OFF

Every Wednesday on tattoos up to $500 total. No code needed, just book your session on a Wednesday and save.

Reschedule Policy

72-hour courtesy window for rescheduling with no penalties. Multiple reschedules may incur a fee. No-call no-shows and rescheduling under 72 hours will result in a voided deposit.
